Our History



Cornerstone Counseling of Ashland, LLC officially opened in April, 2007.  For over 20 years, this practice worked under the name Cornerstone Psychological Affiliates, Inc. Cornerstone grew and served multiple sites before it was purchased as a separate entity.  During those twenty years, we have worked with thousands of individuals and families.  There has been a change of ownership and a new name, but the transition has been incredibly smooth.   I have been a counselor at Cornerstone for seven years and was excited to get the opportunity to purchase Cornerstone and continue Cornerstone's mission.  We have the same exceptional core team of counselors and have a added a few new professionals to meet the growing needs of our community.  John Shultz, PhD., the previous owner, continues to offer doctoral supervision as needed.    We will continue to strive to improve upon our skills and service.  We look forward to working with the greater Ashland community for many years to come!
